Discounts with Quotes and Opportunities

Discounts are applied while adding or editing products on a Quote. These discounts directly impact the quote totals and, when synced, the associated Opportunity.

Steps to add a discount:

1. Navigate to an Opportunity
2. Go to the Quotes related list and create a New Quote
3. Open the Quote Line Items related list
4. Click Add Products
5. After selecting products, update:
   • Sales Price
   • Quantity
   • Discount (%)
6. Enter the desired discount percentage
7. Click Save

The discount is now applied to the quote. If the quote is set as the Synced Quote, the Opportunity’s products and total amount will update accordingly.
