Salesforce CRM Content offers two methods for removing content:
Archive:
Delete:
There are two parts to the mass archive process:
1. First obtain Document Ids by running File and Content Reports which includes Document Ids.
2. Set the field filters to return correct results, using File and Content Reports as a reference.
3. Click Run Report.
4. Save the report in .csv format.
Note: As a best practice, run an additional Data Export including Content to backup your files prior to any deletion in the org.
5. Edit the .csv file to set isArchived to True on any Content you wish to archive. It's recommended that you also remove any rows that contain Content that will not be changed in order to avoid unintended changes occurring with those records.
1. Click Setup.
2. Enter Data Loader into the 'Quick Find' box.
3. Select Data Loader to download and install the program.
4. Open the Data Loader.
5. Select Update. Log in.
6. Select Show all objects.
7. Select ContentDocuments.
8. Browse to your file. Click Next.
9. Select Create or Edit a Map.
