Unable to edit a profile with Platform User license

System Administrators trying to edit a Standard Platform User profile or a cloned Custom Profile associated to the Salesforce Platform license get the error message:

'Please fix the following: Standard tabsets are not permitted for this profile.'
Løsning

Resolve The Error


1. Test editing and saving the Profile, to see whether this concerns your edit or an existing error.
2. Does the profile have any Console apps associated to it? If yes, then disable the app for the profile.
3. Are there any Standard Tabs enabled other than Accounts, Contacts, Reports, Dashboards and Documents? If yes, turn the tab setting for that Standard Object to Hidden.
 

Classic:

1. Click Setup | Manage Users | Profiles

2. Click the edit link on the left of the Profile

3. In the Tab Settings area, select Tab Hidden on the other Standard Tabs

4. Click Save.

 

Lightning:

1. Click the Gear icon then Setup | Administration | Users | Profiles

2. Click the edit link on the left of the Profile.

3. In the Tab Settings area, select Tab Hidden on the other Standard Tabs

4. Click Save.
