One diagnostic test to determine if there are slow loading or problem components on a page load is to use a browser's built in Developer Tools. It's important to collect this page load information from a user during a time when they are experiencing slowness.
Note: We recommend that users capture these logs in Google Chrome or Firefox.
HAR (http archive) files may contain sensitive data, including cookies, authentication tokens, and personal information. This data can lead to security risks such as impersonation and unauthorized access.
When creating a HAR File customers must ensure that the following safeguards are completed, before the file is sent to Salesforce Support and Third Party Vendors.
1. Go to the page where you're experiencing slowness.
2. Click the three dot menu in the upper right of Google Chrome then navigate to More Tools | Developer Tools. Alternatively, you can press F12 on your keyboard. Please note that some organizations can disable this functionality.
3. Click the Network tab in the diagnostic window and Click Clear Network Log.
4. Click on the link/button/tab to have the problem page or action load in the main window.
5. After the page loads, you should see some information and graphs in the diagnostic window. If the slowness was seen during this page load, Right-click in the diagnostic window and Save as HAR with content.
