Password reset email templates

Publish Date: May 3, 2023
Description
When a System Administrator resets a password from the User record page (User detail page), an email is sent to the User containing a link to create a new password.

When the password is reset this way, the email that is sent to the User contains the email address of the System Administrator who performed the password reset. At this time, it is not possible to customize or modify the template for password reset.
Resolution

To prevent Users from seeing System Administrator's email address in password reset emails

1. Have the User reset their password from the login page using the 'Forgot your password?' link. This sends out an email with the link to reset their password. Note: If the issue still persists, they must contact their administrator.
2. Have a separate User for technical support/password resets that has a generic internal support email address or a no reply address listed. Note: You would want to have all administrators log in as this User to perform any password resets for your Users.
