Mobile considerations for Compact Layouts

• System Administrators can customize Compact Layouts to show a Mobile user:
  • "Highlights area" at top of Record Detail page (up to four fields)
  • "Lookup Cards" on list views & search results (up to four fields)
  • Fields tracked in Feed Items resulting from a Create

Mobile considerations for Page Layouts

• The Enhanced Page Layout Editor does not allow the creation of a Mobile-specific view

• Not all field types are supported in Mobile

• ​​​​​​​Actions and Out Of Box Details tab are inherited from the Enhanced Page Layout Editor
• When Lightning Record Page Phone Form Factor is enabled for an Object:
  • When a record is accessed from Mobile Only App, the Org Default Lightning Record Page is shown (even if there is a different Lightning Record Page assigned for use with that Record Type and User's Profile).

• System Administrators can customize the placement of fields to reduce scrolling & page load issues for Mobile users:
  • Fields at the top of the Page Layout display when Record Detail loads
  • Fields lower on the Page Layout display when Users swipe up (limited to a few page loads)

Mobile considerations for Page Load Performance

• Page Layout aspects combine to form a very dynamic query on the server
• This affects the loading speed & amount of pages that can load when a User swipes up
• System Administrators can improve this performance by minimizing these aspects:
  • Lookup fields
  • Formula fields
  • Quantity of fields
