Password Policy and Password Never Expires Setting

The Password Never Expires administrative permission in a Profile takes precedence over the User passwords expire in setting within Password Policies.

• Permission Enabled: If the Password Never Expires permission is checked in a user's Profile, the password will never expire, even if a specific duration is set in Password Policies.
• Permission Disabled: If the Password Never Expires permission is not checked, the expiration duration defined in Password Policies applies to the user.

You can also use Permission Sets to apply the Password Never Expires permission on a per-user basis.
