Change the email address of your scheduled Data Export

When a scheduled Salesforce Data Export completes, the user who configured the export receives an email notification confirming that the export is available for download. If that user leaves the company or transitions to a different role, a different user may need to receive the export notification email.
Salesforce does not provide a direct option to update the email address on an existing scheduled data export. The only way to change the notification recipient is to delete the existing scheduled export and reschedule it under the new user's account.

The following steps walk through how to change the email address associated with a Salesforce Data Export by deleting and rescheduling the export.

Step 1 — Delete the Existing Scheduled Export

  1. Navigate to Setup and enter Scheduled Jobs in the Quick Find box
  2. Scroll to the Data Export job in the list
  3. Click Del next to the job, then click OK to confirm deletion

Step 2 — Reschedule the Export as the New User

The user who should receive future export notifications must log in and reschedule the export:

  1. Navigate to Setup and enter Data Export in the Quick Find box
  2. Click Export Now or Schedule Export
  3. Select the objects and data you want to export
  4. Choose your preferred export frequency (weekly or monthly)
  5. Click Save

When the data export completes, the notification email is sent to the user who rescheduled the export.
