Links do not work on text email templates

When creating a text email template, you might want to add websites URLs like developer.salesforce.com or www.salesforce.com .

These website URLs might not work as links (i.e you can click on them and you'll be directed to the website).
Solución

The following items are unsupported formatting type for text email templates: 
  • Images
  • Font
  • Size
  • Color
  • Hyperlinks
  • Tables
  • Other formatting options

Some browsers might let you click on website urls and will work as links, but this is not a Salesforce feature and the behavior might be different across multiple browsers.
