Trial Organizations

  • All trials have an expiration date (generally it is the 30-day free trial provided to you by Salesforce).

  • After the expiration date, the status of the organization is updated to HOLD.

  • During the HOLD period, you can still log in but will be rerouted to the "Buy Me Page."

  • The organization will remain in the HOLD period for 30 days.

  • After the 30-day HOLD period ends, the status will be updated to DELETED.

  • When the organization's status is marked DELETED, you'll no longer be able to log in to your account and your data will be purged.

Active Organizations

  • After an active or paid subscription with Salesforce expires or is terminated, the organization is placed in a LOCKED status. While the organization is LOCKED, you won't be able to access your account.

  • Active or paid organizations have a 120-day grace period in the LOCKED status. Salesforce retains your organization's data during this 120-day period as a courtesy.

  • When the 120-day period lapses, the organization is marked as DELETED and flagged for deletion. You'll no longer be able to retrieve data past this point.

For more, please review Request to export data when your organization is locked.

Who Can Help:

Locked or Hold Status:

Salesforce Support cannot change the status of a 'Locked' or 'Hold' organization. If your organization is in a 'Locked' or 'Hold' status, contact your Account Executive. If there's no designated Account Executive, you can contact our Sales Team through the following channels:

Suspended Status:

An active or paid subscription on SUSPENDED status is due to non-payment and must be directed to the Billing Team if your Account Executive isn't available.

Developer Edition (DE) Organizations:

Developer Edition organizations that are Locked due to pending deletion can be reactivated by Customer Support upon request. Details can be found here.
