Error 'URL no longer exists' when trying to access a record

게시 일자: Oct 13, 2022
상세 설명

There may be several reasons to see a "URL no longer exists" error message when attempting to access a record, such as an Account. However, when accessing a record using standard functionality, users should see something like https://xx#.salesforce.com/<recordId>. For this error, often when you view a record, it will initially start loading, but then the page suddenly reloads, and you are presented with this error.

When a user reports these kind of errors, check whether the page layout it concerns, contains a Visual Force component. If so, make a note of which VF component(s) it concerns, remove it temporarily from the Page Layout, save and check whether you, and or the affected colleague are now able to view the record.

Edit Page Layout for Standard Object

Classic Experience

•Setup > Customize > *name of standard object* > Page Layouts > hit "edit" beside the specific page layout
•Under field palette, scroll down on the categories and click for "Visualforce Pages" and try to find any visualforce pages added on the page layout.

If a Visualforce component is added, remove it on the page layout and click Save.

Lightning Experience

•Click the gear icon > Setup > Under "Object Manager" tab look for *name of standard object* > Hit "Page Layout" > Hit the specific Page Layout
•Under field palette, scroll down on the categories and click for "Visualforce Pages" and try to find any visualforce pages added on the page layout.

If a Visualforce component is added, remove it on the page layout and click Save.

Edit Page Layout for Custom Object

Classic Experience

•Setup > Create > Objects > Click the *name of custom object* > scroll down until you find the Page Layout section > Hit "Edit" beside the specific page layout
•Under field palette, scroll down on the categories and click for "Visualforce Pages" and try to find any visualforce pages added on the page layout.

If a Visualforce component is added, remove it on the page layout and click Save.

Note: When you and the affected user have different page layouts, check the correct one.

If removing the VF component from the page layout resolves the issue, the issue is probably with that component. You should contact the developer of that component, to see whether they are aware of the issue, and if they can solve the issue for you.
