Salesforce Error 'This file has been deleted, doesn't exist, or can't be previewed' for Content Delivery Link

Дата публикации: Feb 13, 2025
Описание

When you attempt to access a Content Delivery file, you may encounter an error message:

Unable to Process Request  Error accessing Content Delivery
This file has been deleted, doesn't exist, or can't be previewed

This happens when the hyperlink doesn't follow all the way through the string when copied into an email and instead is truncated at the '=' sign.

Example:

I've sent you a presentation that you can view online by clicking on the following link:

All the text after https:// is hyperlinked except for the '=' sign at the very end.

Note: Content Delivery links should not be used on Sites to host images and CMS should be used as an alternative.

Решение

The links provided by Content Delivery and Share Files via Link end in an equal sign. The link may drop the equal sign upon copy-and paste in external applications such as Outlook. After pasting the link, the 'equals sign' at the end of the URL is removed from the hyperlink and thus, the recipient of the link gets an incomplete link which directs to a page with the error described above.

When you paste the link into Outlook, please do the following:

1. Go to the body of the Email.

2. Click 'Insert' at the top or on the Menu Bar. Alternatively, right-click in the body of the email.

3. Click 'Hyperlink'.

4. Paste the link of the file into the address bar.

5. Click OK.

Note: Format the email as HTML. Otherwise, if it's Plain Text, the URL will not be hyperlinked.
