Email Alerts and Approval Emails Not Being Sent in Salesforce Sandbox

Description

In Salesforce Sandbox environments, users may report that Workflow Rule emails or Approval Process emails are not being sent or received. By default, the email deliverability setting in a newly refreshed sandbox is set to 'System Email Only', which prevents workflow and approval emails from being delivered to external recipients. This article provides steps to enable full email delivery in a sandbox.

Résolution

If workflow rules or approval processes emails are not being received in the Sandbox, make sure that "All email" is selected under your Sandbox's Deliverability.

To confirm or turn on 'All Email' in Sandbox Delivery Settings

1. Classic: Click Setup | Email Administration | Deliverability
    Lightning: Click the Gear icon then Setup | Email | Deliverability
2. Set the 'Access to Send Email' to All email
3. Save
