How to Change Default Time Zones for Users and the Salesforce Organization

Julkaisupäivä: Jun 17, 2026
Kuvaus

In Salesforce, timestamp fields such as Created Date and Last Modified Date display times based on the time zone configured for each individual user. When users in the same Salesforce org have different time zone settings, the same record may appear to show different times depending on who is viewing it.
This article explains how to update the default time zone for the Salesforce organization and how to update the time zone setting for individual users.
Example use case: A manager notices that a Case record shows "Created Date: 10:00 AM" on their screen, but a teammate sees "Created Date: 7:00 AM" for the same record. This discrepancy occurs because the two users have different time zones configured in their Salesforce profile settings.
