Customizable Person Names adds Middle Name and Suffix fields to person objects — including Contacts, Leads, Person Accounts, and User Profiles — helping you better differentiate the people associated with your records. For example, an administrator can enable this feature to capture a contact's full legal name for compliance or communication purposes.

Customizable Person Names can be enabled directly in your organization's Setup menu without contacting Salesforce Support.
Navigate to the User Interface settings using one of the paths below:

Once enabled, Middle Names and Suffixes will display alongside full person names throughout Salesforce, except in the following areas:
The Middle Name and Suffix fields are not universally supported across all Salesforce features. Review the list above to understand where these fields will and will not appear before enabling this feature in your organization.
