In Salesforce Work.com (WDC), the default Thanks badge cannot be deleted directly unless a new default badge is first assigned. To delete the default Thanks badge in Salesforce Work.com (WDC), you must first designate a new default badge, then request the change via WDC Support.
If you receive an "Unable to deactivate badge" error when attempting to delete the default Thanks badge, follow the steps below.
Submit a request to WDC Support to change the default badge.
Be sure to include the ID of the new default badge, which can be found in your browser's address bar after navigating to the badge detail page.
After the default badge has been changed, attempt to delete the original Thanks badge again.
The badge should now be removed successfully.
