This article explains how to request an increase to the maximum number of email templates allowed in your Salesforce organization. Marketing teams and Support organizations often create numerous email templates for campaigns, case responses, and customer communications, which may exceed the default limit of 500 templates. For example, a support team managing multiple product lines, regions, or communication channels may quickly reach this limit when building out case response templates, drip campaigns, and customer notification emails.
If you received "UNKNOWN_EXCEPTION, Email template limit exceeded." or a similar error message, it is because of the limit that has been placed on the number of email templates within all Free and Trial organizations.
