Standard or custom objects not visible in Salesforce for Android and iOS menu

Description

Users may notice that the Salesforce Mobile App menu does not display some Standard or Custom object tabs.

Résolution

If the object's tab is also not visible at a full site desktop browser

Please check these settings first:
  • User Access on the Profile & Permission Sets:
    • Object access includes Read
    • Tab is Default On or Default Off
  • For custom objects, turn on 'Allow Search' for the object
 

If the tab is visible at in a full site desktop browser but not in the Salesforce mobile menu


Option to pin objects

  • If users want certain object tabs to always show near the top the Smart Search Items in the Mobile Menu, they can pin the object using these steps:
  1. In a full site desktop browser on Classic UI, enter a global search
  2. Find the desired object on the left sidebar of search results
  3. (Users may need to click 'Search All' to view all objects)
  4. Hover the mouse over the object & click the pin icon
  • Note: Pinning sets the order of object tabs in that user's view to:
    • Top mobile menu's Recent section
    • Left side of mobile search object carousel
    • Top of full site Classic UI search results
