Tips on using Opportunity Products in Salesforce Mobile App

Price Book association

Before you can use Salesforce for Android and iOS to add a product to an opportunity, the opportunity must already have a price book associated with it. To setup:

1. If you include the Price book field in the Page Layout, you can edit the record in the app and select an existing Price book.
2. Once you have added the Price book to the Opportunity record, you can then add Products in Salesforce for Android and iOS.

Price Book Search Layout

If you do NOT have 'List Price' included on the Search layout for Price book Entries, the sale price will not auto-populate on the 'Add Product' action. To update the Search Layout in Setup:

• In desktop Classic Salesforce: go to Customize | Price books | Price book entries | Search Layout
• In desktop Lightning Experience: go to Object Manager | Price book entries | Search Layout
• Move 'List Price' from 'available' to 'selected', directly under the 'Product Name'.

'Add Product' Lookup

• A possible work around might be to combine key Product Code information into the Product Name (standard field). 
• Try additional search functions to search within the string  (i.e. %1500 returns GenWatt Diesel 1500kW)
• Note: * for 'begins with' is assumed during Search lookups

'Save and Add Product' desktop button

The 'Save and Add Product' button is not supported in Salesforce for Android and iOS.
