Error: 'InvalidPhoneForCountryCode' (validate imported mobile numbers for MobileConnect)

When the 'InvalidPhoneForCountryCode' error appears in the Import Results file for contacts imported to MobileConnect, make sure that your phone numbers are valid using a Phone Number Parser.

Risoluzione


1. Review your import results file that contains the error 'InvalidPhoneForCountryCode'
2. Navigate to Phone Number Parser (third-party site)
3. In the 'Specify a Phone Number' field, enter one of the numbers receiving the error.
4. In the 'Specify a Default Country' field, enter the country code being used.

  • Note: If you are not sure which country code to use, you can confirm by checking the ISO Alpha-2 codes.

5. Click Submit.

  • If the number is not valid, the error message 'Invalid country calling code' will display.

6. MobileConnect is intentionally not allowing the import because these are not valid phone numbers for that country code and cannot be sent to.

Note: This validation does not occur against the short/long code, but rather the number being imported and the locale used for that number.
