When you attempt to validate or deploy a Change Set in Salesforce, you may encounter the following error:
Required field is missing: sourceValues
This error occurs when the Change Set includes a Salesforce report that contains a bucket field, and at least one bucket in that bucket field has no values assigned to it. Salesforce requires all buckets in a bucket field to contain at least one value when deploying via Change Set.
To resolve the 'Required field is missing: sourceValues' error, you need to ensure all bucket names in the affected report contain at least one value. Follow these steps:
Open the Change Set in your source Salesforce org and identify which report is included. Navigate to that report.
After saving the report with all buckets containing values, retry the Change Set validation or deployment.
If the bucket name must exist without a value in the source org, delete the empty bucket name before deploying, then recreate it in the target org after the Change Set has successfully deployed.
