Undeliverable emails receive if the Email-to-Case routing address has been deleted

If an active Email-to-Case Routing Address is deleted from:

Classic:
1. Click Setup.
2. On the Quick Find box, enter Email-to-Case.

Lightning:
1. Click the gear icon. 
2. Click Setup.
3. On the Quick Find box, enter Email-to-Case.

What happens when an inbound email message is forwarded to the unique Salesforce Email Services Address?
Lösning
Depending on how the local email system is forwarding/redirecting email from the internal routing address to the Salesforce Email Services Address, either:

1) The Routing Address inbox receives a Mailer-Daemon NDR response.

OR

2) The original sender of the email receives a Mailer-Daemon NDR response.


Sample Mailer-Daemon Response:
