Links on Mobile Do Not Open Properly in the Salesforce Mobile App

Udgivelsesdato: Apr 9, 2026
Beskrivelse
When a mobile device user taps on a link for Salesforce data, the Salesforce Mobile App can open if the URL is formatted properly and is for a supported action type.

A URL scheme is a formatted link that tells a mobile device which app to open and what action to perform. Deep linking refers to using a URL that navigates directly to specific content within an app, rather than opening a browser.
Løsning

The following notes explain common link-opening behaviors and limitations in the Salesforce Mobile App.

Note about deep linking:

  • In many instances, deep linking will break inside certain environments that do not support the types of deep linking being performed.
  • Android deep links opening in Gmail may not always function because of non-http/https protocols in links and stripping of the anchor tag.

Note about iOS usage:

  • iOS devices use the older URL scheme to navigate to the Salesforce Mobile App when a user selects a link to a record from email.
  • The link opens in Safari and the scheme com.salesforce.chatter:// causes a prompt to open in the Salesforce Mobile App.
  • If security software on the device blocks this behavior, allowlist both salesforce1:// and com.salesforce.chatter:// within your mobile security software. If those are not allowed, links may not prompt to open within the Salesforce Mobile App.
