Increase File Upload Size Limit for Knowledge and Documents

Descrizione
Enables an increase to the maximum file upload size for Salesforce Knowledge and Documents. 
  • Affected Features: Salesforce Knowledge and Documents only
  • Default Limit: 10 MB
  • Maximum Increase: Up to 25 MB by default; above 25 MB requires a strong business justification
  • How to Increase: Activations Team
Note: This article applies to Salesforce Knowledge and Documents only. For attachment size limits on Related Lists, Notes, and Attachments, please refer to: Increase Maximum File Size for Related Lists, Notes and Attachments
Note: If the current org limit is below 10 MB, the following error may occur when attempting to Import Translated Articles:
Error: This file exceeds the maximum size limit of 10MB.
Recommendation: For files larger than 25 MB, customers are encouraged to use Salesforce Files or Content, both of which support files up to 2 GB.

If you've reviewed all relevant documentation and confirmed that your request pertains to Salesforce Knowledge or Documents, please have your System Administrator create a case with the Activations Team and include the details of your request.

 

When submitting your case, please include:
  • Why you are unable to use Salesforce Files or Content to meet this need
  • The specific limit increase being requested
Note: With a strong business justification, the limit may be raised above 25 MB. You will be required to explain why Salesforce Files or Content cannot be used as an alternative.
