Enable 'Person Accounts' for 'Guest User Profile' in Site.com

In order for Salesforce.com Support to enable the Person Accounts feature, all Profiles that have Read access to Accounts must also have Read access to Contacts.

This is already set for Standard Profiles however some organizations with an early configuration of Site.com have a Guest User Profile that may not have this set correctly. Additionally, these Profiles do not display under Setup > App Setup > Manager Users > Profiles which makes it difficult to locate them to make appropriate changes.

Set object permissions in your site in Lightning

 

1. Setup > Platform Tools > User Interface > Sites and Domains > Sites
2. Click on the 'Site Label' to access the 'Site Details Page.'
3. Click Public Access Settings
4. Click Edit. 
5. Under 'Standard Object Permissions' select Read on Contacts.
6. Click Save

1. Click Setup > Build > Develop > Lightning Components > Sites
2. Click on the 'Site Label' to access the 'Site Details Page.'
3. Click Public Access Settings
4. Click Edit. 
5. Under 'Standard Object Permissions' select Read on Contacts.
6. Click Save
