Filter Restrictions for Text Area (Long) Fields

Description


While it’s possible to filter Salesforce Classic and Lightning reports and dashboards by values in Text Area (Long) format fields, there are some restrictions to keep in mind.

Résolution


Filters applied to standard Text Area (Long) fields only permit the first 1000 characters to be searched.

Filters applied to custom Text Area (Long) fields only permit the first 255 characters to be searched.

If the filtered value doesn’t appear within the characters identified above, the filter returns false.
