Prevent All Users from Accessing the Salesforce Mobile App

Due to compliance guidelines or security protocols, administrators may be asked to prevent All Users from logging into the downloaded Salesforce Mobile App.
 
To completely eliminate your Users' ability to access the Salesforce Mobile App interface, make the following changes.

After the steps below, Users will no longer be able to log into the Salesforce Mobile App.

Remove access for All Salesforce Users

This removes app access for System Administrators:
  1. Navigate to Setup
  2. In the QuickFind Search, type and select Connected Apps OAuth Usage
  3. Click Block next to Salesforce for Android and Salesforce for iOS
Note: No users will be able to log in to the Salesforce Mobile App on iOS or Android until you click Unblock.


Remove access for All Users assigned to a Profile

To update from the Connected App Settings:

  1. Navigate to Setup
  2. In the QuickFind Search, type and select Connected Apps
  3. Click Edit for 'Salesforce App for iOS' and/or 'Salesforce for Android'
  4. Set 'Permitted Users' to Admin approved Users are pre-authorized
  5. Click Save

To update from the Profile Settings:

  1. Navigate to Setup
  2. In the QuickFind Search, search for and select Profiles
  3. Click Edit next to the profile you are removing Salesforce Mobile App access from
  4. In the 'Connected App Access' section, uncheck Salesforce for Android and Salesforce for iOS
  5. Click Save
Note: Repeat for each Profile that you want removed from Salesforce Mobile App access.
