Unexpected Delays with Salesforce-to-Salesforce (S2S) Forwarding

Publiceringsdatum: Jul 16, 2025
Beskrivning
Salesforce-to-Salesforce (S2S) was designed as an asynchronous process and is not intended as a real-time solution.  This allows organizations to share certain records with business partners that use Salesforce and get updates on the shared data.  Because these updates are handled asynchronously (not in a steady stream) and are retried if a sync fails, delays can happen - even when the volume of forwarded records is small.

In Spring '16, we changed the way records are enqueued for forwarding by Salesforce-to-Salesforce (S2S) to improve performance for the majority of organizations using the product.  However, organizations forwarding very large volumes of records (in the millions) may exceed the rate at which batches are processed, resulting in additional delays.

Although users may see longer-than-expected times, records will still forward successfully.

Connected organizations that find S2S insufficient for their business needs, due to such delays, should consider consulting options for assistance in identifying an alternate solution.
