Invalid CSV format causes file errors when you import records

When you export data from other CRM tools, such as Sugar CRM, some data may not convert over to a standard .csv file format. If it has exported in the .csv format, you may see a semicolon ( ; ) displayed in the actual Excel document. The values in rows will be separated with ( ; ), with all the data as a single cell rather than each value in a separate cell. 
 

솔루션

In order to resolve this, follow the steps below:
 
  1. Open the corrupted file in Notepad. If there are semicolons, follow Step 2. If not skip to Step 6.
  2. Highlight all data within Notepad, click on Edit then click the Replace... option.
  3. For "Find what:" enter the semicolon symbol ( ; )  and for "Replace with:" enter the comma symbol ( , ).
  4. Then click on Replace All.
  5. Close the Replace window.
  6. Then click on File then click on Save As. Change the value on 'Save as type:' to All Files, and save the file with a File name that ends with a .csv.
  7. Your information should display as a normal, with each value in it's own separate cell in Excel.
  8. Open the file in Excel to validate that the data now shows as separated into columns.
