In the Salesforce Mobile App for Android and iOS, users can filter existing list views to see just the records they need. For example, filter an Account list view to show only accounts in your region.

Salesforce Mobile App list view filters let a user fine-tune the data displayed in a list view without affecting how the list view appears to other people in the organization.
  • While viewing a list view, tap the filter icon.
  • The Filter page shows any existing filters applied in the Salesforce Mobile App, which can be cleared to start over. It will not show filters set via full site.
    • Note: Clearing filters via the app only removes filters added via the Salesforce Mobile App. It does not clear settings or filters created at full site.
  • To add a new filter, tap the plus sign, select the field to filter by, and tap Apply. Then enter the filter criteria and tap Apply to filter the list view.

The way to enter filter criteria varies depending on the type of field:
  • Text fields: Enter the first key phrase that matches the records to display. For example, to see accounts whose names start with "Universal", create an Account Name filter on an Accounts list view and type Universal in the field.
  • Date fields: Set a start date and an end date to specify a date range. Only results within those dates appear in the list view.
  • Number fields: Enter a minimum and maximum value. Only results in that range appear in the list view. For example, to see accounts with a certain number of employees, create an Employees filter on an Accounts list view and enter numbers to create the desired range.

Considerations for Creating Filters
  • It's possible to accidentally create a filter that displays no results if the filter criteria is inconsistent with the list view's parameters.
