When you attempt to uninstall a package in your Salesforce organization, you may receive the following error:
"This extension depends on the package you are trying to uninstall (Package Name)"
This error occurs because one or more components in the package you are trying to uninstall are referenced by another installed package in the organization — the dependent "extension" package. You must first remove or delete the extension package before you can uninstall the base package.

If the error message includes a link to the dependent package name, click the link. If no link appears, note the package name referenced in the error message.
After deleting the extension package, return to Installed Packages and uninstall the original package.
If this error occurs in a sandbox and the extension package was created in the production org, you must:
If the error does not include a link to the package, or the package cannot be found under Setup > Create > Packages or Setup > Installed Packages, log a case with Salesforce Support and provide the full error message and org details.
