List Detective behaviors

• New email subscribers added through Lists in the Marketing Cloud interface are scrubbed against the List Detective database.
• Data Extensions and Sends from CRMs are scrubbed at the time of the send. 

List Detective reporting and data disclosure

• You can get a general report when you run an Import (if you select to receive one), but there's no direct reporting functionality in the User Interface for List Detective. 
• We're happy to discuss why individual email addresses are included in the List Detective database, but we won't disclose the entire list. If you have any questions, create a case with Marketing Cloud Customer Support.

• It greatly reduces the import of bad addresses at the front end, keeping you from bothering to mail them on the back end.
• It helps keep spamtraps out of your list – even one spamtrap can get you blocklisted by somebody like Spamhaus, cutting you off from Yahoo and other important ISPs.
• It helps keep “screamers” out of your mail streams – people who are going to bluster and threaten people who send them email – even permission-based mail!
• It helps you comply with the law – the FTC and FCC have special restrictions on sending to certain domains. List detective tracks that for you automatically, making sure you don’t accidentally send mail to a prohibited domain.
