Enable API Access for Salesforce Mobile App

Дата публикации: Oct 13, 2022
Описание

When trying to log into the Salesforce Mobile App for Android and iOS, users may experience login or data issues if they do not have the API Enabled permission. API access allows the Salesforce Mobile App to communicate with your Salesforce org's data and services.

Without it, users may see:

  • Error: 'Please check your username and password. If you still can't log in, contact your Salesforce administrator.'
  • Error: 'You don’t have access to Salesforce'
  • Problems loading Mobile App screens
  • Seeing outdated data

A System Administrator can resolve this by creating a Permission Set with the API Enabled permission and assigning it to the affected users without editing individual User Profiles.

NOTE: Some Salesforce Editions require additional licensing to get the 'API Enabled' permission. Please see Salesforce editions with API access.
Решение
Use a Permission Set to enable API access for Salesforce Mobile App users

1. At Full Site Setup, go to an existing Permission Set or Create Permission Sets.

2. Update the Permission Set to include API Enabled:
> Click on the System Permissions section
Edit
> Checkmark API Enabled box
Save

3. Add the Connected Apps:
> Click on Permission Set Overview
Assigned Connected Apps
> Edit
> From the 'Installed Connected Apps' section, click Salesforce for iOS and / or Salesforce for Android
> Add arrow to move to 'Enabled Connected Apps'
> Save.

4. Assign the Permission Set:
> For one mobile User, you can Assign Permission Sets to a Single User.
> For multiple mobile Users,  you can use Permission Set Groups.
