Error: "Failed converting CSV data to bin format" for external data upload in CRM Analytics

게시 일자: Jul 8, 2026
상세 설명

When uploading or updating a dataset from external data, you may receive an error regarding converting CSV data to "bin" format. This error appears in two forms:

Error executing node digest: failed converting CSV data to "bin" format: empty edgemart - nothing loaded from CSV file, load

This indicates that the source data has no valid rows and could not be processed. No error log is generated because the file failed completely.

Error executing node digest: failed converting CSV data to "bin" format: exceeded maximum number of errors, 10000

This indicates that the source data generated over 10,000 errors and could not be processed. No error log is generated because the number of errors exceeds the batch size for handling.

솔루션

For "empty edgemart - nothing loaded from CSV file, load"

  1. Add a "known good" dummy row to the CSV file, ensuring that all cells are formatted correctly.
  2. Use that CSV file to create or update the dataset. If creating a new dataset, ensure that the metadata is set correctly through the Preview Data screen.
  3. This generates an error log. Retrieve the error log from the Data Monitor to determine the root cause of the original issue.

For "exceeded maximum number of errors, 10000"

  1. Truncate the CSV file to fewer than 10,000 rows.
  2. Add a "known good" dummy row to the CSV, ensuring that all cells are formatted correctly.
  3. Use that CSV to create or update the dataset. If creating a new dataset, ensure that the metadata is set correctly through the Preview Data screen.
  4. This generates an error log. Retrieve the error log from the Data Monitor to determine the root cause.
