Experience Cloud Site 'Navigation' Menu Parameter Error

When changing an Experience Cloud Site Navigation tab type from Salesforce object to Site Page an error can be received:
 
The URL for (Insert Object) requires one or more parameters. Please replace each parameter with the appropriate value.


Under the URL section you notice a message saying: 

Please replace the parameters in the url of the page you selected. Parameters start with ":" and point to specific data, For example, :recordId.

 
Løsning


The URL listed has colons ( : )  in it itself and it’s expecting parameters. If not using parameters, remove the colon symbol and publish again. The error message doesn't display as the colons have been removed.  

For example, you can also use URLs like "profile/home", "detail/0060o00001DQvs2AAD" to address the error temporarily.  Specifically, the error may display using  /profile/:recordId where the change to /profile/home can resolve the issue.
