You may receive the following error when loading a Dashboard or Lens in CRM Analytics (Tableau CRM):
This error indicates that a column referenced in a dashboard or lens query does not exist in the dataset at runtime. The following sections describe the most common causes and how to resolve each."
This is generally caused when the column is entirely null or non-existent in the dataset. Columns without values will not be created in the dataset, and references to those columns will error. This can be corrected by including data in the column at its source or by setting a defaultValue as described here.
The identifier (column name) may not be correct. If the column name has been manually entered in the query JSON, ensure that it is accurate. More information about Dashboard JSON can be found here.
Datasets refreshed long back might not have the data indexed. Refresh the datasets by running the source dataflow to fix the issue.
Some Date fields might have spaces in their API names (ex: Close Date). If column names with spaces are included in the query JSON, they may cause this error. To fix these errors, find the full field name of this field without spaces (ex: CloseDate) and replace the existing value.
If an invalid column name is specified for a dataset in a Connected Data Source, every query related to that dataset will encounter an invalid identifier error, even if that column isn't used in the query. Correct the column name in the Connected Data Source to resolve the related query errors.
