Error 'Insufficient Privileges' on the 'View All Activity'

Julkaisupäivä: Jun 14, 2026
Kuvaus

The 'View Activity History' page for a given record is normally accessed by clicking the [View All] link on the Activity History related list of that record.

When Does This Error Occur?

Users see an 'Insufficient Privileges' error when trying to access the View All Activity page directly (via bookmark, URL, or custom button) without the Activity History related list on the page layout.

Attempting to access this standard page directly (such as through a bookmark, direct URL, or custom button) when the Activity History related list is not on the record's Page Layout generates either of these messages:

  • "Insufficient Privileges"
  • "You can't view this page, either because you don't have permission or because the page isn't supported on mobile devices."

If you see the Activity History related list when viewing a Case detail page and you're still encountering this behavior, an administrator will want to check whether both Case Page Layouts and Page Layouts for Case Feed Users exist for your organization in the Case Page Layout setup section.

This behavior still occurring despite having the related list visible on the Case page layout may be an artifact of having both types of layouts active. In this circumstance, it's recommended to convert any remaining Page Layouts for Case Feed Users and then ensure that the Activity History related list is applied to all Case Page Layouts. See Convert Page Layouts for Case Feed Users to Case Page Layouts for more details.

Ratkaisu

This behavior is by design.

Note:  To access the standard View All Activity page for a given record, the Activity History related list must be present on the page layout for that record.
