Unable to edit Opportunity Amount field

On certain Opportunity records, you will notice that you are unable to edit the Amount field; when hovering over it, you will see a lock icon.

Ratkaisu

In Salesforce, when an Opportunity includes related Products (also called Opportunity Products or line items), the Amount field is automatically calculated as the sum of all product line items. To change the total Amount, update the Sales Price or Quantity of individual Products in the Opportunity Products related list.
