In Salesforce Classic, users editing a Knowledge Article's Rich Text Area (RTA) field in Google Chrome cannot directly resize an image using drag handles — this is a known limitation of the Classic interface. In Lightning Experience, image resizing in Rich Text fields is supported natively in Google Chrome as of the Spring '20 release. This article explains the workarounds for both environments.
As a workaround, edit Rich Text Area fields and resize an image for Knowledge Articles in Salesforce Classic using an alternative supported browser such as Firefox.
