After installing Salesforce for Outlook, users may receive an error similar to the error below in the dialog box on the desktop or in the Salesforce for Outlook log files.


"Unable to connect to Salesforce. Error in IMAPISession.OpenMsgStore: MAPI_E_FAILONEPROVIDERuIVersion: 0 Error: the File C:\....outlook.ost is in use and cannot be accessed. Close any application that is using this file and then try again"

Solución

Please refer to your local IT for a full Office repair.
