When Chatter posts, comments, or @mentions generate email notifications, clicking the links in those emails may redirect you to an Experience Site (formerly Community) instead of the internal Salesforce org.
This behavior can occur for the following reasons:
Ensure that Chatter Email notification preferences are set consistently both in the internal org and in each Experience Site where the user is a member.
Check whether the user's assigned profile has a default Experience Site. If so, all emails will be branded for that site. Refer to Assign a Default Experience to a User Profile to update the setting.
If a user is logged in to both the internal org and the Experience Site in the same browser simultaneously, the browser may apply the Site session credentials.
To avoid this, use separate browsers for internal org and Experience Site sessions. Also ensure internal Chatter notifications are enabled.
