Knowledge articles do not display completely in an Experience Cloud Site

Data pubblicazione: Jul 7, 2025
Descrizione

Users of Experience Cloud products ‌may not see all fields or sections in a knowledge base article. This is sometimes intentional (for fields meant to be internal only), but is sometimes unintentional (especially for fields recently added to article types). The result is that some end users may only see certain content in the article, such as the title and summary.

Risoluzione

  1. Log in as an administrator and inspect the article type that's not being fully displayed. Find the fields for that article type.
  2. In another browser tab, use the Article Management tab to find the article details that are not visible to the Experience Cloud Site user.
  3. Find the profile of the Experience Cloud Site user for whom this problem is occurring. Note that if someone is not logged in to the Experience Cloud Site (e.g. they're using PKB or one of the Experience Builder templates) you may need to look at the Guest User profile for the Experience Cloud Site in question. Review Configure the Guest User Profile.
  4. Determine the field(s) on the knowledge article type that's not being displayed for the Experience Cloud Site user. Enable Field-Level Security on those fields for the appropriate Experience Cloud Site profiles.
  5. Ensure the language matches ‌the Experience Cloud Site and Article.
  6. As a best practice, ensure that section headers on the Knowledge page layout assigned to the Guest User are set to not show on the detail page. This prevents the unintentional "hiding" of the section which can occur.
    1. To do this, go to and edit the appropriate page layout.
    2. Select the wrench icon at the right of the page layout section.
    3. Uncheck "Detail Page" next to "Display Section Header On".
    4. Click Ok and then Save
  7. As the section headers do not display on the standard Article Content component, this will have no impact on the look of the article within the Experience Site.
