User is sometimes taken back to Classic view after the switch to Lightning

After switching to Lightning Experience, the new Navigation Menu and layout appear, but after clicking on certain Records for different Objects, users are taken back to the Aloha Classic view.
Ratkaisu
This is most likely due to a Visualforce override of the detail page/record/object that is being accessed.

To verify, switch back to Aloha Classic and access the same record. If the URL contains something like "visual.force.com/apex" - then the page is being overridden and will not display in Lightning yet.

The workaround would be to remove the override or simply continue viewing the page in Aloha view. To remove the override, follow these steps below:

In Lightning:

1. Select the Gear Icon in the upper right side of the screen
2. Go to Setup
3. Select Object Manager
4. Look for the Object where this behavior is occurring
5. Select the Object
6. On the left side, click "Buttons, Links, and Actions"
7. Look for View and on the right side, select the drop down arrow and then 'Edit'
8. Select "No override (use default)" beside Salesforce Classic Override
9. For "Lightning Experience Override" tick "Use the Salesforce Classic override"
10. Click Save

In Classic:

1. Select Setup in the upper right side of the screen
2. In Setup, go to Build | Customize | Object where this behavior is occurring
3. Select 'Buttons, Links, and Actions"
4. Look for View and select 'Edit' to the left of View
5. Select "No override (use default)" beside Salesforce Classic Override
6. For "Lightning Experience Override" select "Use the Salesforce Classic override"
7. Click Save
