How do I know which instance I am on?
How to check your instance ins Salesforce Setup:

  1. Login as Administrator
  2. Click [Gear icon] | [Setup]. In the [Quick Find] bos, enter "Company" and select [Company Information]
  3. Check the [Instance] field

How to check your instance via Salesforce Trust Site :

  1. Go to status.salesforce.com
  2. Select the “Search Instance or Domain” text box in the top-center of the page
  3. Enter your company’s My Domain into the text box. For example, if the login URL is https://mycompany.my.salesforce.com, enter “mycompany”.
  4. Hit "Enter/Return" key
  5. This will give you the Instance your Org is hosted on.

What does each availability status represent?
The color indications on the Status tab on Salesforce Trust site, determine the availability status of each instance. Below mentioned are the details:
  • Green (Available)This instance is available and fully functional.
  • Blue (Informational): Information about the instance that is not a performance issue or service disruption.
  • Purple (Maintenance): This instance is currently in maintenance. A message will be provided regarding your ability to access the instance during the maintenance.
  • Yellow (Service Degradation): The instance is still accessible, however there is particular functionality that may be unavailable, or the service may be running with significant latency.
  • Red (Service Disruption): The instance is inaccessible to customers.


Where do I find out more about upcoming maintenance scheduled for my instance?
Instance maintenance information is located on the instance detail page. You may navigate to the instance detail page from the
System Status page by clicking on the instance name. Confirmed maintenances are listed in the Maintenance Calendar, which is available in a calendar and list view on the right side of the page.
