Limit on the number of characters in a Chat message

There is a character limit for Chat messages.  
Ratkaisu

The maximum size of a message sent by a chat visitor when using Chat is 6000 characters. The message will be truncated once it has reached the limit.

  • If your customers need to send you longer texts, they can break their text into separate messages (they will be displayed sequentially).
  • In alternative, chat visitors can also upload text files with more than 6000 characters, using the 'File Transfer' functionality. To learn more, please review Transfer Files During a Chat. 

Note: There is no limit for character size when sending messages from Agent to Visitor. The 6000 character limit only applies when sending messages as a Visitor to an Agent.
