Change your Salesforce org name

Beskrivelse
    Administrators can change the name of their Salesforce organization under the Company Information section.    To change the Account Name used by Salesforce for billing, help and training, contact your Account Executive.

    Steps to change the name of an org in Salesforce 

    Classic:
    1. Navigate to Setup | Company Profile | Company Information
    2. Select Edit | Type the new org name into the Organization Name field.
    3. Click Save.

    Lightning: 
    1. Click the Gear Icon then Setup | Company Settings | Company Information
    2. Select Edit | Type the new org name into the Organization Name field.
    3. Click Save.
     

    Notes: 
    • In some situations, Admins might be prompted with validation errors.
    • Check whether the Primary Contact is an Active user.
    • Verify if it is possible to edit and save that User before adjusting the Company Profile.
    • It may be necessary to update the Address, if State and Country picklists have been enabled since the last edit.

     

    Account Name Changes

    • ​Please contact your Account Executive to have your Account Name changed in Salesforce administration.
    • Depending on your contract they may need some documentation in order to complete this transaction. 
    • If enabled for checkout, locate your Account Executive's contact details in the Checkout Summary page, which is available while logged into Salesforce.
    • Optionally, reach your Account Executive by calling 1-800-NO-SOFTWARE.
