Add a link to the template 'HTML (using Classic Letterhead)'

Description


Before you get started, please review Create HTML Classic Letterhead Email Templates in Salesforce Classic and make sure to Upload and Replace Items on the Documents Tab.

Inserting a link makes it easy for the readers to get supporting information without having to type all of the information out on the same page.
 

Résolution

 

Convert text into a hyperlink

 
  1. Type your text into the body of the template you would like to be a link.
  2. Highlight the text you want to turn into a link.
  3. Click on the Insert a Link button.
  4. Enter the URL you want the text to link to.
  5. Click Ok.
  6. Click Save.
 

Note: Test by clicking on the Send Test and Verify Merge Fields. Make sure to check Send email preview to and enter your email address.



Embed hyperlinked images

Note: At this time, links embedded in images cannot be created in Google Chrome using the standard steps. Please follow the steps below.
  1. Type the text you want to hyperlink (For example, "Click here for help").
  2. Hyperlink your text as indicated above.
  3. Highlight the text, click on the image tool, and replace it with the image you want to use. 
  4. This inserts the image and retains the hyperlink tag.
