Outbound messages in Salesforce send data to external systems when workflow rules trigger. The Outbound Message Notifications feature lets you configure a dead letter queue to capture and retry failed messages, improving integration reliability.
Once activated, this feature enables you to configure and view Outbound Message Notifications and view Failed Outbound Messages directly under the Setup menu. This activation must be enabled by Salesforce Support.

Submit an activation request with Salesforce Support
Review Salesforce documentation on Outbound Message Notifications before submitting an activation request. Ensure you have your Organization ID ready, along with a business reason for the request.
If you've reviewed all relevant documentation and still need assistance with activating this feature, please have a System Administrator create an activation request with Support.
When submitting the activation request, include the following details in the case description:
Your request to enable the Outbound Message Notifications feature
The Organization ID where the activation should be applied
A business reason to help Support understand your request
Support will review the activation request and action it accordingly.
Once activated, the following options will be visible under the Setup menu:
1. Outbound Message Notifications
Lightning Experience: Gear Icon → Setup → Environments → Monitoring → Outbound Message Notifications
Salesforce Classic: Setup → Monitor → Outbound Messages Notifications
2. Failed Outbound Messages
