How to Enable Work.com Thanks (WDC) in an Experience Cloud Site

This article explains how to enable Work.com Thanks (WDC) within a Salesforce Experience Cloud site and how to optionally add the Recognition tab to user profiles. 

Note: These setup steps must be performed in Salesforce Classic, as they are not yet available in Lightning Experience.

To enable Thanks in your site, follow these steps:

Enable the Badges Tab in the Experience Cloud Site

  1. Log in as a Salesforce admin.
  2. Go to Setup | Customize | Digital Experience | All Sites
  3. Click Manage or Workspaces action for the site you want to enable Work.com Thanks.
  4. Click Administration and then Tabs.
  5. Add the Badges tab to the Selected Tabs list and click Save.
  6. Log in to the site and go to the Badges tab and start creating badges.


Consider adding the Recognition tab to your site's user profiles. This tab allows them to see all badges they have earned.
 
Add the Recognition Tab to User Profiles (Optional)

  1. Go to Setup | Create | Apps
  2. Click the Edit action for Profile in Site (Others) and add the Recognition subtab and click Save.
  3. Go back to Setup | Create | Apps
  4. Click the Edit action for Profile in Site (Self) and add the Recognition subtab and click Save.
