Remove empty lines within Joined Report blocks

게시 일자: Apr 3, 2026
상세 설명

Joined Reports often display lines with no values in one or more of the report blocks. While default functionality does not allow for these lines to be excluded from reports, it is possible to do so via the use of Roll-Up Summary Fields.

Example:
Create a Joined Report using the following report types (grouped on "Account Name"):
First Block: Accounts with Opportunities
Second Block: Accounts with <CustomObject>

You would like to show only Accounts with Open Opportunities and a Custom Object.

Using a Filter on the Opportunity for "Open" might still show Accounts which have none Open in the other block, since you are not filtering that Block on the same condition.

Currently, the only way to filter both blocks in the same way would be a field on the Object shared for both reporting blocks, which in this example, is Accounts.

A Roll-Up-Summary field can be used to get information on the level of the top Object.

Note: Roll-Up-Summary can be used only in Master-Detail relationships.

Request to incorporate this into Salesforce can be found on the Idea Exchange:

Only Show Joined Report Results for Records on both Sides

Workaround:

For our example, we would need to create two new fields on the Account object:

1. Roll-Up-Summary field, count of Opportunity, filter for only Open Opportunities
2. Roll-Up-Summary field, count of Custom Object

Note:

If you use a Custom Report Type, you might need to add the fields to it. For a Standard Report Type, it will be done automatically.

Create your report, ensuring that you add a filter on each block, for both new fields.

Example: Roll-Up Summary Field not equal to "0"

With this filter in place, your report should show only results where the Account has a related custom object, and an open Opportunity.
